Christian & Sarah Wray contacted me in early 2022 to start the process of designing a weekend ski chalet for their newly purchased 3 acre property in Grey Highlands. Christian, a co-founder of Canyon Hill Developments, engaged consultants for the surveying, planning and environmental reports that would be required for approvals from the Niagara Escarpment Commission. In the meantime, we started working through the architectural design and development. By March of 2023, with NEC approvals in place and a Building Permit granted through Grey Highlands, the tree-clearing commenced and construction began. James Murphy of MK Construction (the other co-founder of Canyon Hill Developments) general contracted the build in record time for a December 2023 occupancy.
